I wanted the photo of my Mum on her birthday to really stand out so I used the buttons as a frame and also cut out a number of flowers from one of the papers to also use on the frame and to bring a cohesive look to both pages despite the different coloured papers used. I stuck the title letters on to acetate which I then lifted by adding blobs of Glossy Accents underneath the letters so that the title stood out more. Cutting out the flowers took a bit of dedication (even for me who loves cutting out!) but I am pleased with the result and think the effort was worth it.

I really love this layout and cant wait to scraplift it! I especially like the button frame and think it would work really well with an oval easter egg shaped piece of cardstck and an east er themed photo. I'm keen to make more 2 page layouts and I really like the way you draw in the different patterned papers and cardstock colours with the buttons. Fab!
ReplyDeleteHi Jenny. Thank you, I am so glad you like it. Double pages don't come easily to me but I was pleased with how this one came together and I am a big button fan so had a lot of fun with those!! I love your idea of the Easter Egg shape and would love to see what you come up with - have you got round to using the April Kit yet with the pretty Easter die-cut sheet in?
